Seattle Metro Area

Custom new build, whole or partial-home remodel –  this is your jam! It can feel dizzying to make dozens of decisions and then see them through while navigating a construction zone. My full-service design package gives you start‑to‑finish support: from big‑picture vision down to the final styling, so you end up in a home you truly love.

My process takes place in three key phases so you’re supported every step of the way:

1. Dream & Design

We begin with a deep dive into how you live, what you love, and what isn’t working now. From there, I develop a clear design vision with space plans, key concepts, and a curated presentation of finishes, fixtures, and furnishings so you can see the full story of your home taking shape.

2. Detail & Prepare

Once the direction is approved, we refine selections, re‑source as needed, and translate every decision into detailed drawings, specifications, and documents your contractor can build from with confidence. During this pre‑construction phase, I coordinate with your architect, builder, and engineer so the design is fully integrated before work begins.

3. Build, Install & Reveal

As construction and purchasing move forward, I remain closely involved—answering design questions, reviewing key moments on site, and managing orders and deliveries. We finish with installation, styling, and photography, bringing every last detail to life so you can step into a finished home that feels effortless and entirely yours.

Full-Service Residential Interior Design

1. At what stage in our new-build or remodel should we bring you into the project?

Ideally, as early as possible—at the same time you’re engaging your architect and builder or even just starting to think through plans. Early involvement lets me influence the flow, floor plans, and key dimensions that affect cabinetry, furniture layouts, and lighting. My full-service design package includes detailed construction drawings and 3D renderings, so we ensure the interiors receive as much careful thought and planning as the exteriors.

2. How do you structure your fees for full-service design on custom homes and major remodels?

For full-service projects, I typically work on a flat design fee for the clearly defined design phase, paired with an hourly rate for construction support and implementation, plus a standard markup on furnishings and materials I purchase on your behalf. For budgeting, I recommend planning on roughly 10–15% of the construction budget for design services, depending on scope and complexity. Once we understand your project, I’ll provide a tailored proposal with clear deliverables and fees.

3. What exactly is included in “full-service” design, and what will still be our responsibility?

Full-service means I handle the complete design journey—from initial concepts and space planning through detailed drawings, material and fixture selections, and a fully furnished, styled finish. This typically includes floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, specification sheets, showroom visits, and coordination with your architect, builder, and key trades. You remain the contracting party with your builder and vendors, but I guide the design decisions, provide the documentation they need, and stay involved to help keep the project aligned with the vision.

4. How do you work with our architect, builder, and other consultants?

I view your architect and builder as collaborators. The architect typically leads structure and envelope; the builder manages construction and schedule; I focus on interiors—space planning, finishes, cabinetry details, lighting design, and furnishings. I attend joint meetings as needed, share detailed drawings and specs, and am available to answer design-related questions as they come up so your team can build confidently and efficiently.

5. What is a typical project timeline—from initial consultation to installation—for a whole-home project or major kitchen/bath remodel?

Timelines vary by scope and permitting, but as a general guide: the design phase for a major kitchen, primary suite, or several key spaces often takes 8–16 weeks from kickoff to permit- and bid-ready drawings and selections. Construction can take several months for a remodel and 9–18+ months for a full custom home. Furnishings and final styling are typically layered in as construction wraps.

6. We don’t live in Seattle full-time. Can you manage the design and coordination while we’re remote?

Yes. I frequently work with clients who travel often or split time between homes. We can handle most design meetings via video, share drawings and selections digitally, and coordinate with your local team on-site. I’ll be your eyes and ears here—conducting site visits as needed, sending progress updates, and managing the details so you can stay involved in the decision-making without having to be here for every step.

7. How involved do we need to be in decisions, and how many options will we be expected to review?

My goal is to make the process as streamlined as possible. We’ll spend time up front getting clear on your preferences, priorities, and how you live. From there, I typically present a highly curated set of options for each decision—enough choice to feel personalized, but not so much that it’s overwhelming. You’re involved in all key decisions, but I do the heavy lifting of editing, sourcing, and coordinating so you can move through the process with clarity and confidence.

8. What level of furnishings and construction budget should we anticipate for a project like ours, and how do you help us stay on track?

Budget is highly dependent on scope, size, and the level of customization you’re aiming for, but I can give you realistic ranges once I understand your project. Early in the process, we’ll discuss your target investment for both construction and furnishings, and I’ll advise whether that aligns with your goals. Throughout the project, I track selections against that budget, flag potential overages, and offer options at different price points so you can make informed decisions and invest where it matters most.
