Let’s Transform Taylor Swift’s Dressing Room
If you’ve seen the Taylor Swift Era’s Tour documentary that came out in November/December detailing the behind the scenes of her mega-monumental-in-every-category Era’s Tour, you saw some things that were not as monumental … namely an absymal waiting/dressing/surprise-song-writing room where she seems to spend time relaxing, hanging with her close inner circle, and sipping coffee from, in her words, “The world’s saddest coffee shop.”
Next time she goes on tour, maybe for Life of A Showgirl and whatever else she has up her sleeve, let’s decorate her dressing room with that color scheme plus all the things she loves: cozy couches, cozy pillows, cat references, a little pattern, a little whimsy and some good old fashioned feminine glam.
Here’s our color palette, inspired by her album cover.
First of all - define the space! If her team can build a stadium-size stage floor that’s also a TV, this dressing is going to be a cinch.
Striped green curtains - get rid of all the black curtains that come with creating a smaller room inside an area built for a football team. These striped green curtains pack a lot of the green that’s in her album covor, but they’re the color of nature, which is always good for calming the showgirl nervous system.
Blue rug - Ground the furniture area with whimsical blue/green rug in size 10x14. It’s fun, it’s lighthearted, it’s playful, it’s happy.
Hayley Sofas in Marigold Performance Velvet - Replace the white boucle sofas for these, still in an L-shape, perfect for sinking into with Andrea and jam sessions with Ed Sheeran. Performance velvet is great for the wear and tear of life on the road and still very soft.
Burlwood round coffee table - Put this in the middle. People can walk around it and it’s still plenty big for various trays and vases and purses.
Accent chairs in rosewood performance chenille - Add a couple of these opposite the sofas. Soft and feminine and oh so cozy.
Louisa Club Chair - An interview chair with pattern! Throw that black and white one in the trash. We know she loves Pierce & Ward and this chair will say “Hey, I’m a showgirl but I’m chill.”
Side table 1 - Brass with sass.
Side table 2 - Rich walnut with some lovely details.
Brass vases - Thank you for the lovely bouquet …. While the giant bunch of flowers from Travis can take center stage, these smaller brass vases can hold some scattered flowers that envelope the furniture area with more feminine touches.
And a sea of soft pillows…..
Cat pillow - We will allow her to keep her existing cat pillow. It’s cute! And goes with the color scheme and overall vibe.
