Wintertime Gift Guide ... For YOU!
We are fullswing into The Big Dark as it’s called here in Seattle. Dark, drizzly mornings. Dark, drizzly afternoons and evenings. Maybe your holiday shopping is complete, but if it’s not, here’s yet another gift guide to get your juices flowing. And if it doesn’t come in time for Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa - no worries! Click it, buy it, and let the chips fall as they may. This is more of a “wintertime shopping list” - and yes it has three candle related items. It’s so dark! Help!
Ribbed Pillar Candles - Unscented! (or Scented!) - I love a basic pillar candle. It’s sturdy. No toppling over and burning your house down! Also. I want them to be unscented. I need them to focus on *vibes only*. Don’t mess with my regular rotation of scented candles. These come in many varieties of height and girth and so many colors! Hygge Home, here you come.
Cowboy Christmas Candle - This is the scent that needs to do the heavy lifting this holiday season. It’s masculine. It’s feminine. It’s Santa riding that reindeer. It’s holiday but it’s also wood-burning stove in February. May or may not come in time for Christmas, but a smell that works well into wintertime.
Blue Vintage Resin Candleholders - These two are dripping with “Grandma’s cool and she knows it!” These candleholders will bring that sky blue to chase out your winter blues.
Staub Dutch Oven - Do the words “sexy” and “Dutch oven” go together? Yes, they do! The La Cocotte Staub is my favorite Dutch oven. It works overtime in soup season. This Grenadine color has me in a chokehold and begs the question … does a person need a third Dutch oven? I’m going think about it.
Retro Red Digital Mini Clock - I try not to depend on my phone too much at night and for waking up. I’m adding this to my wishlist to replace my current cheap plastic electric alarm clock. This cute red one is made of Japanese beechwood, so it’s bound to uplevel my nightstand lewk immediately. Also comes in a happy yellow and royal blue!
Scallop Linen Napkins - These come in enough color varieties that you could bring them out for use in any season. Take it to the next level by embroidering them!
Bunny Slippers Print - An affordable art print, cute for a kids’ room or playroom or bathroom! Evokes cozy and sweet.
70s Petit Table Lamp - This small lamp comes in two unexpected color combinations, which means you could use it practically anywhere!
Portugese Stoneware Dessert Plates - I need new dessert plates! They come in really cute colors and with that ripple of white, they’d work with the rest of my white dishes.
Faux Fur Throw Pillow - 23x23 - I can vouch for this pillow - it’s the biggest and coziest and you’ll fight over it with your family members all the time. Pair it with this 24x24 insert (never trust an in-store pillow insert) and you’re golden.
Big Green Handblown Glass Vase - This is a big one - a real showstopper for your big table. Would look good with a gathered bundle of messy flowers! And flowers brighten every dark day.
2026 Day Planner - It feels more and more rebellious to use paper anymore, but that’s part of why I keep doing it. I keep a digital calendar AND a paper planner and I won’t apologize for that.
Lola Green Checkered Blanket - I have it on good authority (my sister) that these are the best blankets evuh! They look scrumptious and have some really fun graphic prints.
